It’s ovah! Congressional Black Caucus Week 2015 is in the books and although we’re still recovering from a week of panels, sessions, receptions and parties, here’s who we spotted around town!
President Barack Obama was the keynote speaker at the annual Phoenix Awards Dinner held at the Convention Center on Saturday night. Of course he brought Michelle Obama onstage, wearing a stunning blue dress, to wave to the attendees.

R&B singer Chrisette Michele got the chance to pose it up with the First Couple at the dinner.
Ray Lewis and TV personality Judge Greg Mathis were among the panelists at the “Brother 2 Brother” panel, held on Thursday at the Convention Center. Many were surprised to see Vice President Joe Biden at Saturday morning’s prayer breakfast, held at the Convention Center. Ludacris brought out his friend and R&B singer Monica out onstage when he performed at Thursday’s “Power of Leadership” reception, held at BET Studios in Northeast. The event was honoring Congresswoman Teri Sewell. Here’s a bit of his performance:
R&B singer Anthony Hamilton was the featured performer at Southern Company’s Friday night reception, held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. MC Lyte served as the evening’s emcee while Doug E. Fresh hosted the after party.
The best part of Anthony’s performance was when he covered Prince’s “Until the End of Time” and of course when he sang his hit single, “The Point of It All.” Couples even took the dance floor to slow dance. Very epic! Here’s a bit of his performance:
